Meet Einstein

Einstein, our mascot is a smart bird who reads a lot.

He is named after Albert Einstein. A parent supporter was reminded of this story from Mem Fox (Reading Magic, p. 134).

As she tells it, people use to routinely ask the real Albert Einstein what they could do to make their children smarter. He would answer (impishly, I'm sure): "Read them fairy stories." When they had digested that and still hoped for a "real" answer, they would often ask again, "And after that?" And he would come back with: "Read them MORE fairy stories."

Our Einstein reminds you to read books 2-3 grade levels above your child's reading level.
